Activate LCD:

To view the output outside of the OS we need to press the Fn+F8 ikey (on Dell laptops) to receive output from the HDMI connection.

To resolve issues in BIOS screens (at least with Dell laptops).

Test it using this command:

v4l2-ctl --device=/dev/video0 --set-edid=file=/root/myedid.hex --fix-edid-checksums

Overwrite the default settings so they are used on reboot:

cp /root/myedid.hex /etc/kvmd/tc358743-edid.hex

Put the device back into Read-Only mode
